1962 Cushman Golf Cart
the cushman he was riding had a 18hp vanny in it with a CVT. mine was a completely stock with 9hp engine with 2 speed suicide shifter. as it was great for nostalgia it left a LOT to be desired in the horsepower area. if the hill was long enough i worried about making it up as i am not a small guy by any means and my wife enjoys riding with me on the Harley. so i decided if we both were going to ride i needed some real oomph. i looked at the 18hp vanguards as they are the most common swap but for only a couple hundred bucks more i can get a bare stock 23hp that i can later build and hop up if it is not cutting it.
so two years later between life and family i am just now getting things back together. so with all that being said here are some pics of the project.

- In 1958, 15000 Scooters were produced by Cushman. Scooter production ended in 1965, but some remaining Eagles were sold as 1966 models. After scooter production ceased, Cushman manufactured golf carts, industrial vehicles, and turf maintenance equipment. In Belgium there was a licence-production of Cushmann scooters under the label Belgian Cushman.
