Block Breaker Deluxe is a Wii game that has changed and altered what used to be a popular arcade game. There is a stick at the bottom and a ball. The ball bounces upwards and hits blocks, and you have to move the stick at the bottom to bounce the ball back up to hit the blocks yet again. The aim of the game is to clear the blocks at the top of the screen without letting the ball fall down behind your stick.

The game has an 80s setting, which is probably trying to remind people that this type of game is actually old and that it used to be popular back then when arcade gaming was limited.
There are 5 areas that you may play in and each has 10 levels each. At the end of the ten levels, you have to fight a boss, but the basic game mechanic doesn’t change, i.e. you are still tasked with hitting the ball back up and not letting it drop behind your stick.
Start Slow And Earn Points
You earn points for cash that you can spend on upgrades that make the game easier. There are tune-ups and such, which include things like being able to upgrade the ball or buy lives for the game. The game has a 80s setting with 90s arcade graphics, but they have that smooth-edged modern Wii twist to them.
The game starts very slow, which supposedly helps the user get used to playing it. Most people are used to the mechanic because the game is still mildly popular enough for most people to have played one version or another. However, the first levels start off very slowly because you have to get used to playing with the Wii controller, and it can be a little tricky.
An Original Addition To The Game
There is a star pointer allows you to grab things before they reach the platform. Usually if you hit a box that has a reward in it, then you have to catch it with your stick when it falls. However, you sometimes have to avoid the reward because you need to hit your ball instead. This Wii game has eliminated that problem by allowing you to pick up rewards with a star pointer that you aim with your Wii device. It is a new twist on the classic gameplay mechanic.

Block Breaker Deluxe is a video game developed by Gameloft Romania for mobile phones. It was also released for iPod, Windows PCs, the N-Gage platform, the Nintendo DS as part of the Midnight Play Pack collection, and the Wii as a WiiWare game. Gameloft claims it is the best selling arcade wall breaking game on mobile platforms, with over 8 million copies sold.[1]
A sequel, Block Breaker Deluxe 2, was later released for mobile phones and the iPhone OS. A third game, Block Breaker 3: Unlimited was also released, in 2012.
Gameplay[edit]
The game is a Breakout clone with an urban nightclub or casino themed setting[2][3] with the object of the game being for the player to break as many blocks as they can without causing the ball to fall. As they progress through different levels, power-ups become available to the player to aid them.
The player will progress through a map which shows different locations that contain a set of levels. Each set has 10 levels with a boss battle at the end. Initially, only one location available at the start and more can be unlocked by finishing the level sets sequentially. Every location has its own character that acts as an in-game tutor who give tips and tricks during gameplay. Optionally, the player can purchase an unlockable location which offers an endless, randomly-generated levels.
Each level contain a special 'gift' power-up, which can be used to gain reputation at the specific location.
There are seven different locations, with one of them are a special randomly-generated level.
Sequels[edit]
The game had a few different versions, which were only on mobile: Block Breaker Deluxe, which is the standard version and called Block Breaker Midnight Challenge Deluxe on PC, Block Breaker Valentine, which is themed around Valentine's Day, Block Breaker Christmas, which is themed around Christmas, and Block Breaker Holidays, which is similar to Block Breaker Christmas, except it only has 3 levels and when you finish it tells you to get Block Breaker Deluxe. It also got 2 sequels: Block Breaker 2 Live Deluxe, which is sometimes just called Block Breaker 2 Deluxe, and Block Breaker 3 Unlimited, which is called Block Breaker 3 Free+ on iPhones.
